Small Works Show
2005 The Kauai Society of Artists' Small Works Show 2005 was on exhibit at the Kukui Grove Exhibition Hall in Lihue from January 22 through February 28, 2005. New this year was an artwork size limit of 2 inches maximum in any direction. Frame, mat, or other support could extend to 6 inches, but the art itself could not extend beyond the 2 inch limit. Artists were encouraged to meet the challenge, have fun, and see how small they could go. Awards:

Victoria Gail-White has been writing the art column for the Honolulu Advertiser newspaper for the past three years. Prior to that, she owned the Art Plantation Gallery in Haleiwa. Her textile and fiber works have been accepted in many juried exhibitions in Hawaii and the mainland. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch University in psychology and has supplemented her art education with numerous workshops over the years. Gail-White has worked as a professional chef, as an educator, a beekeeper, and has designed exhibitions. Besides her artwork, her recent interests include community theater. Victoria moved to Hawaii from New York in 1978.
